Tuere ‘Tanee’ McCall was born to parents of Filipino and African-American descent, and grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. She began dancing and doing gymnastics “ever since I could walk,” and she hasn’t stopped since.

In 2003, Tanee landed her first feature film role, in the movie, You Got Served. She plans to continue acting, and says that in the future, “Ya’ll will be seeing me on the big screen…see you at the movies!”

Esther Lafa was born to Cuban & Guatemalan parents (with a little Chinese and African-American thrown in the mix) in Los Angeles. Always the clown in the family, she frequently pulled pranks on her brothers. In school, Esther was the consummate athlete, playing volleyball, basketball, and competing in Track & Field. Towards the end of her high school years, Esther booked her first modeling job, working for Seventeen magazine.

When you think of a murder capital’s female population, rarely do attractive models come to mind. Ten piece Clayanna Warthen, 20, reps New Jersey’s homicide central, Camden, but her features are the opposite of her seedy hometown’s.

It could very well be her diamond-in-the-dirt make up, which garnered her the first notch on her video belt. You first saw Clay as a femme scam artist in Cassidy’s “I’m a Hustla” (hustla dance and all). Backed by Will Smith’s assistant Charlie Mack, she has since landed in several of your favorite ‘05 videos. She shook the shit out of Adam Sandler’s car in Nelly’s “Errtime,” posed as Ms. Toronto in Ludacris’ “Pimpin’ All Over the World,” hugged the block in Young Jeezy’s “Soul Survivor” and flirted with Styles in “Can You Believe It”.

Each video featured Clayanna’s flawless, cream-coated skin, downpour of wave-n-curl black hair and lingerie-craving proportions. Though her facial features may appear Latino or even Native American, she insists there aren’t any immediate racial mixtures in her genes. “I am Black Black,” says the product of African-American parents. Still, love has managed to capitalize on her uniqueness, scoring a Smirnoff campaign (”I’m raspberry”) and a possible role in video director Chris Robinson’s movie Jellybeans, which stars T.I.

As much as ‘Yanna enjoyed her rookie year in the music-video game, modeling is but one talent in her repertoire. Currently a junior at Richard Stockton College, with accomplishments beyond an average model’s, she’s headed toward a degree in criminal justice.

“I took the LSAT when I was a sophomore, and did pretty good,” states the well-balanced Libra. “There were 10 law schools that I wanted to get into, and I did good enough to get into four. So in five years if I don’t have a multi-million dollar [modeling] contract, then I’m just gonna pursue my law career.”

Though signing a print contract with Dolce & Gabbana would be a dream come true for the 5′6″ cutie, her primary focus is becoming “the next Johnnie Cochran.” How does a beauty out of Camden, N.J., of all places, see the judicial system as the place to be?

“Everybody in my family’s locked up,” she says, laughing. “But I’ve always been in touch with the law. Then I started reading law books because I’ve only been into self-help books. If it can’t help me, then I don’t wanna read it. I don’t wanna read The Coldest Winter Ever.”

Clayanna is definitely more than meets the eye. But when it comes to her pick of guys, who makes the call? The law student? The hoodstress or popular TV model? She answers to all of the above. While she’s liberal on dating in or out of the hood, she’s very conservative when it comes to her date’s pockets. Clayanna’s preference: more cash, less ego. “I can’t stand a guy that’s always bragging about what he got. The irony is that I attract most of those guys ’cause they look at me as some sort of materialistic girl,” she explains. “I don’t need a guy to support me, but you better bring something to the table. ‘I ain’t saying she a gold digger, but she ain’t messin’ wit’ no broke niggas.’” [Laughs]

“Once you open my book, you’ll see it’s much more,” informs in-demand beauty Erica Mena. XXL definitely co-signs that, but simply perusing the Boricuan/Dominican Chiquita split’s edible surface makes it easy to misconstrue her as just for show. She’s candy-coated visuals for artists in almost every genre of urban music from Houston to Nina Sky to the Young Gunz, but has blasted off in this year’s fourth quarter with features in Fab’s “Breathe” and Mobb Deep and Lil Jon’s “Real Gangstaz.” Still, like her favorite group, Erica doesn’t want y’all to get it twisted. “People tend to think ‘She’s just a very pretty face.’ But the sexiest thing about me is I keeps it real,” begins the Yankee Stadium neighbor from inside a Starbucks in midtown Manhattan. “I don’t like to beat around the bush or make things seem like they are what they aren’t.”

“I like to add variety to what I do, so basically [my career's] like a big pot of rice and beans,” she analogizes between sexy sips of chai latte. “You add the sofrito, add the sazòn, you add the adobo and the final product gets demolished. That’s how I want my career: very tasteful. I want people to ask for seconds.

Cutie’s aforementioned drive is hereditary, though. “My mother,” begins the Austarr, Inc. All-Star. “All her life, she’s struggled to support her three girls and take us out of the Bronx. And though she finally got her new house, just seeing my mother every day working hard—sometimes not coming home because she was working so much—helped me. If it wasn’t for her ambition and drive, I probably wouldn’t be where I am today. How would I know what working hard is if I didn’t learn from the best?”

With Erica’s Most-Likely-To-Succeed energy and cheerleader package you’d probably automatically pair her with some pretty-boy jock, but according to the spicy dish, “it’s not even about the physical.” “I’ll go to the club and watch a guy all night and peep the little things, like the way he goes to the bar, how he mingles with his friends,” she says. “It’s rare, but I’ll step to a dude in a minute. From there, you know I gotta put it on him to let him know where it’s at and then from there you work and see where it goes.” And Erica’s never been one to shy away from hard work. It seems ironic that the owner of a double scoop of chocolate triple-Ds was born with the name Chessika. Then again, so is the fact that cleavage rhymes with neathage (for the average Earthling, neathage is the space underneath the breast. Cleavage on top, neathage under. Got it? Good).

While neathage isn’t exactly a real word, the 19-year-old Miami phenom Chessika is very real––from top to bottom. But it’s the middle of the Black, Irish, Cherokee and Asian-whipped treat that illuminates vids such as Nelly’s “Flap Your Wings” (peep her lure Pimp Juice under the tree with a hypnotic stare and wiggle) and Lil’ Flip’s “Sunshine” (when she slides her math to Flipper, do her nipples kiss the table?). “People have a lot of misconceptions about me,” she tells. “The first thing they assume is that my breasts aren’t real. But I’ve been like this since I was 12 years old. And looking like you’re 25 at 12, people approach you like you’re 25. Like women thinking I want their man, and I’m like, ‘I’m only 12!’ “With her D-cup tripled by age 15, Chessika began to attract many things, good and bad. Fortunately, casting agents were some of the “good.”

Remember at the tail of Ja Rule’s “Always On Time” vid when he escaped the sea of clamoring women in a hot-air ballon? Well, the only girl to almost sink her manicure into the fleeing Rule was Chessika––at 15.
